Crabbies

Summer is upon us and fresh crabs are coming into season. Crabbies are easy to prepare and can be frozen, then placed under the broiler for 10 minutes before serving. Cut into quarters and offer as appetizers or leave whole and serve for lunch.

1 stick butter, softened
1 jar Olde English Cheese Spread
8 ounces fresh crab meat
1 tablespoon mayonnaise
1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
1/2 teaspoon seasoned salt

6 whole English muffins

Preheat oven to 350º F.

Blend together the butter, cheese spread, crabmeat, mayonnaise, garlic powder, and seasoned salt. Cut the English muffins in half and spread this mixture over each muffin. Bake for 20 minutes or until brown and bubbly.

Serves 6

Crabbies have a nice smooth texture with a slight crispiness and creamy topping. Delicious.
